With digital radiography, the X-ray image is recorded and stored on a computer rather than traditional plain film X-ray. Benefits include excellent image quality, easier storage and transfer, multiple copies with no risk of original film being lost or damaged, and less impact on the environment because toxic chemicals used to manufacture and develop X-rays are no longer needed.
