Extracorporeal shockwave therapy

Shockwave Therapy for Stubborn Tendon Pain

Extracorporeal shockwave therapy (ESWT) is a non-invasive treatment that delivers acoustic waves into injured soft tissue to reduce pain and stimulate healing. It is most often used for chronic tendon injuries that have not responded to rest, stretching or injections.

Conditions Shockwave Therapy Treats

Shockwave works best on chronic tendon injuries — the ones that have lingered for months. If your pain is dull, aching, or keeps returning after it settles, it is worth an assessment.

01

Plantar Fasciitis

Heel pain that is at its worst on the first few steps in the morning.

02

Tennis & Golfer’s Elbow

Pain on the inside or outside of the elbow that flares with gripping and lifting.

03

Achilles Tendinopathy

Pain and stiffness at the back of the heel that limits running and stairs.

04

Shoulder Tendinopathy

Rotator cuff pain that catches when you reach overhead or behind you.

What Treatment Actually Involves

No anaesthetic, no incisions and no downtime. Most sessions take under fifteen minutes and you drive yourself home afterwards.

We confirm shockwave is the right tool for your injury before starting a course.

02

Treatment course

Most conditions need three to five sessions, spaced roughly a week apart.
