Social data questions
- What is social integration data used for?
- We use connected social account details and tokens to authenticate your connection, publish posts you request or schedule, and retrieve engagement for your published posts.
- How can I delete social integration data?
- Use Disconnect under Marketing → Social → Connected Accounts, or follow the Data Deletion page. Disconnect removes the connection and linked post records in MedSiteAI. It does not remove live platform posts or uploaded media.

Connected social accounts
When you connect Facebook, Instagram, or Threads, we store the Facebook Page ID, Instagram account ID, or Threads user ID; account name, handle and profile picture; access tokens, refresh tokens when provided, and token expiry. New Facebook and Instagram connections also keep a restricted mapping from the app-scoped user to the selected connection so verified Meta deletion requests can be matched.
We use this data to authenticate your connection, publish posts you request or schedule, and retrieve published-post engagement such as likes, comments, shares, reach and impressions when the platform provides them. Linked post records include content, media references, platform post IDs, publishing status and cached engagement.
We retain these connection and linked post records until you disconnect the account or a verified, matched Meta deletion request removes them. Disconnect deletes stored tokens, profile details, the connection mapping and linked scheduled and published-post records in MedSiteAI. It does not delete posts already live on Meta or uploaded media from storage. Older connections without a verified mapping may return an unresolved deletion status; that is not confirmation of deletion.
See Data Deletion instructions and status lookup. Deletion status records retain a hashed confirmation code, provider, outcome and timestamps without tokens or profile details. A minimal hashed subject marker is also retained to recognize repeat requests. These records have no automatic expiry configured. Contact support for broader account or uploaded-media deletion requests. Never include patient information in social posts or support requests.
